Fixing my Bike

My husband took my bike in today, as I have been having some problems with the gears slipping. They found there was no oil on it, so that was a huge factor. They also made a few minor adjustments, and said that should work. When they found out that is the bike I am going to use for the upcoming triathlon, they went ahead and took stock of the wheels. They said it would be better to have road wheels versus mountain bike tires. When they inspected it, they found a huge bulge, a blow out waiting to happen! So they are going to replace the wheels, and I should be good to go!

bikes, leather, and cruising for fun

My husband paid off his motorcycle this year-ahead of schedule! This has been good news for us, especially as gas prices continue to rise. My husband has really enjoyed his bike. He loves to ride it anywhere, but especially on longer rides. At first I was not sure about all the expenses that went with it-helmet, saddle bags, bike leather jacket, gloves, mirrors, windshield…but in the long run, each purchase has proven to be almost necessary when using his bike as his main source of transportation.

My daughter has really taken his same love for the bike. She has her own boots and jacket. We share a helmet, but I almost never ride the bike. She can’t wait til she is old enough to drive, so she can get her biker license as well. I can see that she will be cruising right along side her dad.
