Each New Day

This is the title for an upcoming book discussion at Shelly’s Place . A year or more ago, several folks got together to form an online book discussion club. I have since participated in a few and even hosted one! These are great book clubs. You get to read some really great books, perhaps something you may not have read before or a book outside what you may normally read. Shelly has decided to host her club discussion on The Man Who Traveled Through Time. This book is about the first foot hike through the Grand Canyon. I just purchased my book on half.com. So I should be ready before too long to join in on the discussions to follow.

As my son prepares for his first foray into public school, he went today to a book discussion for the books on the required reading list. He was resistant to going, saying it was going to be dumb, no body would be there, and he did not want to take his books nor a pen and paper.

We got there and there are 60 signed up with a waiting list, and most kids had their books with them. So far, a good learning experience. I can’t wait til he gets home to see what all he learned from this book discussion.
