the boy in the gorilla suit

It seems as if costumes are not just for Halloween anymore! We have one boy in our youth group who has recently acquired a gorilla costume. He has worn it every chance he has gotten!

The youth group decided that to initiate the incoming seventh graders, they would get up early and “kidnap” each new student. They came into their rooms yelling and took them on to a designated location. Of course, this boy had to wear his gorilla costume to help the seventh graders rise and shine in style!

We had another church function where we were handing out free snow cones to community members. The boy really wanted to wear his prized gorilla costume, but his mom said “no” to that one. (I’m sure the community members would have gotten a kick out of receiving a snow cone from a kid in a gorilla Halloween Costume!) This boy loves his gorilla suit so much, that he even took it to youth camp with him last week. How he utilized his gorilla suit at church camp, I’ve no idea, but I’m sure he found every opportunity!

So if you are looking for the biggest craze in teen costumes , keep the gorilla suit in mind!

Halloween Costumes

It is almost time for Halloween, the night when many folks dress up, and get out to “visit” their neighbors-all in the name of good clean fun, and the pursuit of candy! My kids and my nephews have always enjoyed dressing up, even when it is not Halloween. I know one year after Halloween, my granny bought several costumes on clearance for my son’s Christmas present. If your kids love to dress up every day as much as mine did, this might be a great idea and a way to get a good bargain on some great halloween costumes. My daughter was looking around for a hippie costume. It seems as if these are popular and you can find several hippie costumes as well as the accessories to go with them.
